The Late Barbara Crowe RI SWA SBA

Barbara painted and demonstrated flowers, landscapes and portraits in oil, watercolour and pastel. Renowned for her flower paintings which grew from her husband's interest in gardens. Was a member of the Royal Institute, Society of Botanical Artists and the Society of Women Artists. Regularly contributed to The Artist and Leisure Painter. She was arguably England's most famous flower painter.

Brian Bennett MA PPROI

Brian Bennett stepped down as President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters after 7 years in the position. Brian has also retired from full time teaching so that he can concentrate on his painting. His work in oils is admired by many and as the ex-President of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, he takes an active role in encouraging artists to make the most of his chosen medium. He is particularly keen on using a palette knife in addition to brushwork.
